Jennifer Boike Armerding, Psy.D., LP

Jennifer is a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist who is particularly interested in an integrated, therapeutic style of testing which appreciates brain-behavior relationships alongside the deeper and dynamic emotional life. After graduate work, she completed her APA clinical internship at the University of Minnesota Medical School in pediatric neuropsychology. She then completed a two-year postdoctoral associateship in Concord, Massachusetts, conducting integrated neuropsychological and psychological testing with both children and adults.

Jennifer’s work experience has spanned a wide range of ages and populations, and has included providing individual psychotherapy for both children and adults; case management for adults with severe and persistent mental illness; home-based therapies for children and families; and as a staff neuropsychologist in an adult neurology clinic.

Jennifer’s doctoral research explored family environment, life stress and psychopathology in internationally adopted children. Additional interests include attachment, affective neuroscience, and developmental psychopathology. She is working toward board certification in clinical neuropsychology and certification in the Therapeutic Assessment model.

Prior to her career shift into psychology, Jennifer was a professional dancer in New York City. She now resides in the woods of Western Wisconsin with her husband, 3 boys, and one extremely patient cat.
